Drop off your kiddos for an arty-fun Friday evening at MAC! Each class will watch a movie, make artwork based on a fun film, and chow down on some yummy popcorn! Children are encouraged to wear their pajamas and bring a toy or two to add to the fun! Each party is suitable for children ages 6-12, with some exceptions possible. Each party includes materials, snack, and water.

Pre-registration is required, families can register for classes online or during Open Studio hours at MAC. Registration for each class closes the by 3pm the day of the PJ Party..
At MAC we try to be as flexible as possible as we know families are busy. If you need to cancel your registration MAC needs a minimum of 48hrs notice to refund all but 20% for a processing fee or switch registration fees to another class. Any registration changes can be sent to email@example.com.

This week we will be watching the animated movie Totoro.
This acclaimed animated tale by director Hayao Miyazaki follows schoolgirl Satsuke and her younger sister, Mei, as they settle into an old country house with their father and wait for their mother to recover from an illness in an area hospital. As the sisters explore their new home, they encounter and befriend playful spirits in their house and the nearby forest, most notably the massive cuddly creature known as Totoro.

Released in 1940, represented Disney's boldest experiment to date. Bringing to life his vision of blending animated imagery with classical music. What had begun as a vehicle to enhance Mickey Mouse's career blossomed into a full-blown feature that remains unique in the history of animation.

This week we will be watching the animated movie Spirited Away .
In this animated feature by noted Japanese director Hayao Miyazaki, 10-year-old Chihiro and her parents stumble upon a seemingly abandoned amusement park. After her mother and father are turned into giant pigs, Chihiro meets the mysterious Haku, who explains that the park is a resort for supernatural beings who need a break from their time spent in the earthly realm, and that she must work there to free herself and her parents.
