MAC After School options have something for all ages! For an hour and a half once a week mini artists get to learn new skills, have fun with friends, and create work to take home. All classes are semester based and include an exhibit of work on the last day for friends and family to enjoy. Class options for children ages 5-7 & 8+, with some exceptions possible. Each class includes materials, snack, and water.

DATES: Wednesdays, make up classes on the weekends during Open Studio hours. 

Fall: September 7th - December 14th, no classes Oct. 12th & Nov.23rd due to school breaks and holidays.

Spring: January 18th - May 10th, no classes Feb. 22, Mar 1st, & Apr 12th due to school breaks and holidays.

HOURS: 4:30 - 6pm,  if your schedule needs something different we can work out flexible drop off and pick up times to meet your needs

COST: $200, MAC Members receive a 20% discount on all classes. It can be applied to online purchases with a promo code at checkout (contact us if you don't have it).

Pre-registration is required for all MAC drop off classes. Families can register online or during Open Studio hours at MAC. 

At MAC we try to be as flexible as possible as we know families are busy. If you need to cancel your registration MAC needs a minimum of 48hrs notice to refund all but 20% for a processing fee or switch registration fees to another class. Any registration changes can be sent to miniartcenter@gmail.com.

Spring After School

Spend Wednesday afternoons learning the fundamentals of visual arts - from mixing colors, to distinguishing shapes, textures and lines.

Activities for this fall semester class include drawing and painting, bookmaking and printmaking, as well as collage and multimedia art. The class is intended to introduce young students to a wide range of materials and, in the process, improve both their skills and confidence as visual artists. 

Classes are suitable for ages 5-8, with some exceptions possible. Registration includes all materials and a light snack. 

HOURS: 4:30 - 6:00pm (flexible drop off and pick up)

Spring Independent Studio

Independent Studio is our After School program that is designed for students ages 9+ who are interested in a more rigorous self-guided studio practice. This programs is geared for art students who wish to learn about any concept, medium, or subject matter they choose, but in a structured studio setting.

Students in Independent Studio will work with a Teaching Artist who will give them guidance in creating their own Tool Kits needed to build a body of work. The goal of the program is to create a Portfolio that represents the mini-artist's ability to create art both using a variety of mediums and techniques, as well as their ability to expand one idea into a series of work. They will have the opportunity to exhibit their works (and even sell them!) at the end of the semester.
